This is what went on downtown last night. It's the official kickoff for the Kentucky Derby Festival. The clip is a little over six minutes but the actual show lasts about thirty. Too cool!
That was beautiful. Are you going to party until Derby Day? That's bigger than Mardis Gras! Then, you know, it's Lent and no more alleluias for forty days, but not in Louisville. Then, it's THE 2 minute party. I always think that's the funniest thing. My neighbor (horsewoman) holds a Derby party every year, and I love it. Nothing like a Super Bowl where you have to be quiet for over 3 hours because, you know, someone might miss a flag or something. Thanks for sharing your part of the world. It is fascinating.
