this fall?
Because of the nature of my job, I have about decided that I will not be taking a "structured" bible study this fall. Since any type of retail tends to explode during the fall months, I am afraid that my brains will be leaking out my ears come November. (Which is really sad because church is offering some great choices.)
I am still working through Donna Partow's Becoming the Woman God Wants Me to Be. It's a 90 day study so it will carry me into the fall. It isn't too time demanding so I think I can make it work. (I was posting about it somewhere else and accidentally said it was a 900 day study. I might actually begin to look more like the Proverbs 31 lady if I study for 900 days!)
Anyhow, Lori is going to be doing Creative Counterpart in blogdom so I thought I would join her as well. For some reason, I didn't realize that this was also a study on the Proverbs 31 lady. Sigh. By golly, I'd better be close to perfect by the time I finish all this! And I think we are going to discuss what we've learned on Tuesdays. So you can offer pointers then. I'm sure I could use them!
So...my whole point to this was...are you doing a bible study this fall? Are your fall's as busy as mine? Do you think you'll have time to complete a study? Inquiring minds want to know...

Proverbs 31 lady and I have a love-hate relationship. My favorite verse is 26--"strength and honor are her clothing and she will laugh at the days to come." That is my prayer for you as you grow in Him.
I am so torn this fall what to do and alas, here we are, without a plan. Beth Moore usually does a fall study at my church, and this fall it is for 18-25 year olds, and she said you could not double your age and qualify. I have a couple other choices and started one last Wednesday, but it is really just a one hour open the Word with others style, no homework, no digging. You have called me to task and today I will decide and go to church tonight to my new class, whatever that will be. It all starts last week or this week, so your post is perfect timing. I'll let you know where He leads me. Love, Annette
I have a small group meeting in my home beginning next week, we will do the Beth Moore - Living Beyond Yourself study by CD, as I did not spring for the DVD's.
Love, the other Annette
Oh Yes! I couldn't do with out my Bible Study. 8 girls come to my house each Tuesday and we have bible study. It is the highlight of my week! We are going to do Land-mines in the Path of the Believer by Charles Stanley.
I think studying God's Word with others ladies is the BEST thing we can do for ourselves as women. It encourages, stretches & gives you lasting friendships!
I think I could use 900 Days of Proverbs 31! I actually may find that book. Do you know where I can find it? (wink, wink). I may be doing Stepping Up with a group of gals from my church. I think it's a good idea. I need some good old-fashioned girl time and a good Word! Thanks for making me think about this today! You are such an inspiration!
Love you,
Angie xoxo
Let me think a minute...our church kicks off their Sunday morning Bible study classes this week and I still haven't decided which one to take for the fall session. The women's Bible study I've been in - we took a break for the summer - will be picking back up on Philippians next week. And in two weeks my husband and I will be hosting one of many small groups in our home for eight weeks to correspond to a sermon series which is called The Peacemaking Church.
Whew!
Blessings,
Tammy ~@~
