There are so many wonderful scriptures that speak to me that I had a difficult time narrowing down my choice for the second round of memorization. After spending 45 minutes hunting through several translations, checking out past favorites, this is the one that I came up with...
I need to remember all the time that my HOPE is in HIM. Not the economy, not in politics, not the state of the nation, not in my family, not in my church, not in my friends, not in my computer, not in my job...but in HIM. Enough said.
Happy Memorizing!

well said! i think this is particularly important to remember in difficult times when people start to lose focus...

Amen Sister! Great verse. For practice mine is I Sam 16:7 from the Holman Bible:
But the LORD said to Samuel, " Do not look at his appearance or stature, because I have rejected him. Men does not see what the LORD sees, for man sees what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart."
I want to be reminded I do not see a person's heart...the LORD does.
Love, Annette
Great verse. This is one of those I have in the back of my mind, but have no clue where it is found, or if I remember where it is found, I can't remember the complete verse! That will be the difficulty for me when we get to 5 for 6 verses!
Perfect verse! He is my portion... ALL I need! I find I keep wanting to copy my friends' verses! How did you get this on the flower? I absolutely adore Gerber daisies! Can you tell me how you did it?
Love you, Karen!

Hi Karen,
I'm visiting your blog from Beth's blog "Just Me". Your blog is beautiful. What wonderful words to live by. Our hope is in Him.
Love your verse! But I want to know how you got your verse in the cute picture?!?!?!? I love that!
I hope you will share your secret so those of us (me!) who might want to do the same thing will know how to! :-)
Thanks!
~Beth
I have a program on my computer called Lexmark photo editor that I use. After I open the picture that I want to use, I click on the drawing tools and then the text application and it allows me to put whatever I want on my picture. I think this is software that came with my printer. (it isn't anything I remember adding.) Anyway, I don't want you to think that I figured this out because I am technologically savvy. My daughter had to show me how to do it!
I hope this helps.
I have been really lax lately in my scripture memorization. Thank you for inspiring me!
Such a great and rich scripture...I need to add it to my personal arsenal...
Thanks for sharing...I just picked my verse as well...I like having two weeks...not just for the memorizing part but it really seems to soak in and the verse comes up all the time during the 2 weeks...
Have a great weekend.
Helen
Wonderful verse! I love how you put it on the flower too.
